Terms & Conditions
1 Organizer and timing
Proposed organizer: BETELGEUSE CORPORATION LTD, company registration number 14716123, trading as Deffio (the “Organizer”). Contact and objections: [email protected]. The challenge runs from 30 September 2026 to 30 October 2026. Entries open on 30 September 2026 at 15:00 CET and are accepted through 23 October 2026 at 23:59:59 CET. The entry period closes on 24 October 2026 at 00:00 CET; entries submitted at or after that instant are excluded.
From the entry deadline until the price is fixed, participants may continue discussing price movements, but no new predictions are accepted. The reference BTC price is fixed on 30 October 2026 at 15:00 CET and published that day after it has been checked. The final verified ranking is published within 5 business days after price fixation, as set out in Section 8; any necessary postponements will be announced publicly. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in England and Wales.
2 Eligibility and countries
Participants must be individuals aged 18 or over at the time of entry who are both citizens of an eligible country and lawfully resident in an eligible country, and who are legally entitled to receive and activate the prize. The countries of citizenship and residence may differ. Eligible countries: Lithuania, Belgium, Austria, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Netherlands, Finland, Poland and Ukraine. All other countries are excluded.
Participation and payment are excluded where prohibited by applicable law or sanctions, including applicable EU, UK or UN asset-freezing measures or territorial restrictions. Organizers, employees, agencies and contractors directly involved in running the challenge are not eligible to participate. No purchase, deposit, trade or paid subscription is required.
3 How to enter
Follow Deffio on one of the participating platforms and leave one comment directly under its official launch post:
Telegram entries are accepted in the comments linked to the BTC Prediction Challenge post. Ads, reminders, reposts, direct messages, story replies and replies to other participants are not entry locations. Official accounts and permitted communication channels are listed at these links.
Enter only a positive number representing the price of 1 BTC in USDC, for example 85777 or 85777.50. Do not include a currency symbol, ticker, thousands separators, UP/DOWN, a range or any other text; a decimal point and up to two decimal places are permitted. Keep following Deffio on the platform where you entered until verification is complete. Entries must remain visible to the Organizer; do not delete or edit them.
Only a person’s earliest prediction across all four platforms combined counts. Subsequent predictions, including an ordinary duplicate on another platform, are ignored and do not replace an invalid first prediction. Discussion without a new prediction does not count as a new entry. Late, deleted and demonstrably edited predictions are ineligible. Confirmed use of multiple accounts to obtain additional chances, conceal identity or circumvent the rules disqualifies all entries from that person. Similar names, avatars, country or a shared internet connection alone do not prove abuse.
4 Price source and accuracy
The sole reference is the official closing price of the one-minute candle for the spot BTC/USDC pair on the exchange specified in the published BTC Prediction Challenge post, opening at 14:59:00 CET and closing at 15:00:00 CET on 30 October 2026. The Organizer records the completed candle and supporting official data. Live tick prices, derivatives, indices, other pairs and currency conversions are not used. If data are temporarily unavailable, the same historical candle will be requested once the data are restored; the exchange, pair and target time will not change. Entries remain closed.
All eligible entries from the four platforms form a single pool. Ranking is determined by the absolute difference between the numerical prediction and the reference price, without intermediate rounding; the smaller the difference, the higher the rank. Where differences are equal, the entry with the earlier platform-recorded CET timestamp ranks higher. An indication of price direction does not affect ranking. Entries may be submitted until the deadline; later entrants can see more recent market prices.
5 Prizes
There are 15 prize places with a total pool of 300 USDC: 1st place — 60 USDC; 2nd — 35 USDC; 3rd — 25 USDC; 4th–15th — 15 USDC each (12 × 15 = 180 USDC).
Each winner receives one Deffio Gift Card code of the corresponding value for activation through Deffio Wallet. A prize is not guaranteed merely for participating and is not an investment return. No cash alternative or guaranteed fiat value is offered; the value of USDC may change. One person may win once.
If fewer than 15 participants meet the requirements and confirm acceptance of their prizes, only the prizes for the corresponding places will be awarded. Before codes are sent, places held by disqualified candidates or candidates who decline pass to the next eligible participants in the ranking, and affected ranks and prize amounts are recalculated. Codes and prizes may not be sold or transferred before activation. Any personal tax obligations remain the winner’s responsibility, subject to the Organizer’s statutory withholding or reporting obligations.
6 Verification and objections
The Organizer verifies age, residence, entry validity, follow status, duplicates, abuse and eligibility for payment using necessary and proportionate evidence. A documented, reasonable concern may lead to a temporary hold and a request for supporting evidence; suspicion alone is not a final finding of fraud. A final refusal must have a recorded reason, such as a confirmed breach, a legal prohibition or failure to provide reasonably necessary evidence within the specified time. Identity documents must be submitted only through the secure channel provided, never in public comments.
Candidates are contacted through the official account on the platform where they entered, if its features allow a message to be sent. Otherwise, the Organizer replies publicly under the entry and identifies an official contact channel. The candidate must confirm participation within 72 hours of that notification. If follow status is not visible, the candidate has 24 hours from a separate request to provide available evidence; if none is provided, the place passes to the next eligible participant, subject to the possibility of review. Other necessary evidence must be provided within 72 hours of the relevant request; a reasonable extension may be allowed for documented access difficulties.
Declining, failing to respond or being ineligible results in replacement of the candidate according to the ranking. The reason is communicated where contact is possible. A candidate may submit an objection within 72 hours of notification of the decision; the Organizer reviews the evidence and aims to respond within 5 business days. Award of the affected prize is paused until the review is complete. These administrative deadlines do not shorten statutory time limits or rights to complain or seek legal remedies. Confirmed delivery failures on the part of the Organizer or platform are considered fairly and may justify an extension.
7 Prize delivery and two 72-hour periods
Following verification and resolution of relevant objections, the code is delivered privately to the verified candidate through the agreed official channel within 3 business days. The separate activation period is 72 hours from recorded delivery of the code, not from its creation or the earlier notification requesting confirmation of participation. The exact expiry date and time in CET and activation instructions are included in the message containing the code. The winner must have or create a Deffio Wallet; creating a wallet is not required to enter.
Approved activation process, supported USDC network and verification requirements: Activation is available to winning and verified participants who have installed the Deffio app through the App Store or Google Play, created a wallet in Deffio Wallet and completed KYC verification. The Organizer covers the costs of the initial prize credit so that the stated USDC amount is received in full; subsequent optional transfers or conversions may incur disclosed network or provider fees. No advance payment is required to receive a prize. The Organizer never requests a seed phrase, private keys or passwords.
An unactivated code expires after 72 hours; the unactivated amount allocated to it remains with the project and is not awarded again. Where possible, report activation issues to [email protected] before expiry. A confirmed failure by the Organizer or activation service results in a fair extension or a replacement code with a new 72-hour period. Funds already received upon activation are not withdrawn merely because the code’s validity period has ended. Otherwise, any unawarded or unactivated portion of the pool remains with the Organizer, subject to applicable law.
8 Results and communication
On 24 October 2026, the Organizer announces across all official social media channels that entries closed at 00:00 CET that day. Discussions may continue until the reference price is fixed on 30 October 2026 at 15:00 CET, but comments submitted after the entry deadline do not count as entries. On 30 October 2026, the Organizer publishes the reference price after verifying it. The final verified ranking is published within 5 business days after price fixation across all four participating Deffio channels and at the links previously specified in these Terms & Conditions: public account name or an appropriate public identifier, platform, prediction, deviation and prize. Codes, documents, personal contact details and wallet addresses are not published. Candidates are not final winners until verification and resolution of relevant objections are complete. Delays caused by verification, replacements or outages are announced in the same channels with a new expected date; while an outage affects the result, updates are published at least once every 48 hours.
9 Data protection
- The confirmed Organizer is the controller of challenge data: account identifiers, comments, timestamps, evidence of eligibility and prize delivery status. Necessary processing enables participation and prize delivery; proportionate fraud prevention relies on legitimate interests, while legally required checks rely on legal obligations. Data are shared only with authorized personnel and necessary service providers with appropriate safeguards. Consent to promotional marketing is not required.
- Information: https://deffio.com/privacy-policy/. To request access, rectification, erasure, object or exercise other applicable rights, including lodging a complaint with a supervisory authority, contact [[email protected]].
Proposed retention period: operational entry and verification records are deleted or anonymized within 90 days after final completion of prize delivery, except for data needed for an unresolved dispute or a specific statutory obligation; exceptions are used only for the relevant purpose. Public results are minimized, and the need for their continued retention is reviewed after the same period. Providers’ mandatory records are retained in accordance with disclosed lawful retention periods. The Organizer must approve this challenge data retention procedure before launch.
10 Disruptions governing law and platform independence
Material changes after entries open are permitted only where reasonably necessary to comply with the law, ensure security or address an exceptional technical failure, with reasons explained and appropriate advance notice; they must not unfairly disadvantage participants or change rankings retrospectively. If the same target candle remains unavailable for 7 calendar days, the Organizer announces whether recovery is expected; if recovery is impossible, it may cancel the challenge with an explanation and, where appropriate, separately announce a restart requiring new entries. A different price may not be selected without notice. Statutory remedies remain available.
Proposed governing law, subject to confirmation of the Organizer: the law of England and Wales. Nothing removes mandatory protections or rights to seek judicial remedies in a participant’s country of residence, excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits statutory rights. Invalid provisions apply only to the extent permitted by law; the remaining provisions remain effective where possible.
The challenge is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram, LinkedIn, X or Telegram. To the fullest extent permitted by law, participants release Instagram from liability arising in connection with the challenge; rights and liabilities that cannot be excluded remain unaffected. The Organizer, rather than the platforms, is responsible for running the challenge. Submitting an entry constitutes acceptance of the published final rules. Review for compliance with local law and platform rules must be completed before launch.
